Be at and Offer Prayers Home – Public Notice from Jumma Masjid Trust Board

Bengaluru: Karnataka is recording biggest numbers of over 25,000 COVID cases and over a 100 deaths each day which has enabled the situation to be very grim. In wake of the crisis, the Government of Karnataka has rolled out a number restrictions in order to contain the spread of the deadly virus.


The Government’s guidelines include imposition of curfew in the night all through the week, total lockdown on weekends and closure of all places of worship of all religions.

Under such circumstances the Jumma Masjid Trust Board obliged to the Circular issued by the Karnataka Government and suspended all prayers in all the Masjds which come under the management of the Board, namely City’s Central Mosque Qadriya Masjid,  Jumma Masjid and Quddusiya Masjid from 6am 22-04-2021 to 6am 04-05-2021.

In a public notice, the Secretary of the Jumma Masjid Trust Board Usman Sharif said the decision has been taken in consultation with the religious scholars. Hence, he appealed to the people to remain and offer prayers Home.
